Oxford Brookes University

Oxford Brookes University is a premier learning and teaching institution with an outstanding research record.

The campus was being transformed to improve facilities for future generations of students and hoarding graphics were commissioned to hide the building works. It needed to be able to move around as different parts of the site were developed.

We saw the hoardings as an opportunity to inform students, staff, potential students and the community about the ongoing works.

We illustrated 25 trees to signify progress and growth. Each one was created uniquely to describe the activities of the faculties – and to celebrate its achievements through its courses, staff, students and alumni.

This was applied to hoardings, creating an avenue of trees. They neatly harmonised with the surrounding, leafy campus.
