David gets headhunted by student D&AD judge Jay Smith of Smith & Milton. She recommends trying The Partners because of his little books for the D&AD entry.
David joins The Partners, no. 1 design consultancy in the UK creativity league table. Works his way up to senior designer, picking up numerous design awards along the way.
Clients included Royal Mail, Royal Opera House, Unilever, Clifford Chance, Procter & Gamble, Harrods and Letts.
Earthlife Christmas card, a handmade card with Christmas tree seeds embedded in the paper. Gets into D&AD.
David’s oversees a team of designers as Creative Director at Dewe Rogerson, creating financial reports and logos for countries! Clients included: Bulgaria Privatisation, Kleinwort Benson, Millicom, Slovenia Privatisation and Telewest.
David moves to Zulver & Co to lead a team of designers as Creative Director. Several D&AD and Design Week awards. Clients included Assael Architecture, Cazenove, GHM Rock Townsend, Global Asset Management, The Law Society, Philharmonia Orchestra, Southwark Council and UBS Warburg.
David is made a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers.
David co-founds Hat-trick Design. Wins Best of Show at the Benchmarks awards 2005 for the Natural History Museum brand identity and again in 2008 for the Sumatran Orangutan Society brand identity. Also pick up numerous D&AD awards and Design Week awards along the way.
Clients include Land Securities, Knight Frank, The Salvation Army, Natural History Museum, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Oxford Brookes University, House of Fraser, Dyson and
David sets up Kimpton Creative. The team builds to a creative director, several designers, a brand strategist, a marketing director, a project manager, a partnering digital consultancy and a partnering social media consultancy.
